We are seeking a motivated Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting schematics, blueprints, and technical plans to define precise work procedures and sequences. Proficient in the operation, calibration, and maintenance of specialized tools, equipment, cranes, and hoists for complex mechanical projects and repairs.
Essential Duties:
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Have a thorough knowledge and prediction of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to understanding fluid, material, atmospheric dynamics, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Able to read schematic drawings, plans, and blueprints to determine proper work procedures and sequence.
- Able to operate and maintain all necessary tools, equipment, cranes, hoists, etc., required for the completion of projects and repairs.
- Must have the skills, desire, and willingness to work with others on the floor during the assembly process.
- Must have good communication skills and understand the importance of communicating workflow, next steps, deadlines, etc., in a transparent manner.
- Ability to maintain composure and deal with difficult and time-sensitive problems to keep operations at a highly proficient level.
Alternate Duties
- Ability to perform other shop-related tasks as delegated by the Production Supervisor.
- Assist with keeping the shop and grounds clean and organized.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Knowledge of OR-OSHA regulations and changes.
- Knowledge of English composition, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Skilled in the use of standard office equipment, including telephones, calculators, copiers, fax, computers, and relevant computer software, such as but not limited to MS Excel, Word, Customer Management Software, etc.
- Ability to engender trust from the owners, managers, team members, and customers.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a mechanical profession
Special Requirements, Certifications, Licenses:
- Valid Oregon Driver’s License.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- May be required to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Hand-eye coordination and hand, arm, and finger mobility for detailed work with objects.
- Active movement throughout the day: sitting, walking, standing, squatting, bending, stooping, reaching, etc. (not a sedentary position).
- Vision: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Hearing: able to satisfactorily communicate with customers, owners, and other staff members to ensure that verbal communication is clearly understood, particularly during emergencies.
- Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or operate equipment.
- Exposure to moderate noise levels.
- Exposure to hectic, fast-paced, high-anxiety environments.
