We are seeking a motivated Shop Technician to join our dynamic team and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a safety-conscious and results-driven Shop Technician to support our operations by performing all assigned tasks in an efficient, thorough, and accurate manner. Key responsibilities include understanding and executing work orders, operating equipment safely in accordance with all policies, and providing clear communication to supervisors regarding work progress and any obstacles. The ideal candidate is an honest team player with strong technical skills, who effectively manages their time and leads by example. The Shop Technician plays an integral role in helping our team achieve excellence.
TECHNICAL ELEMENTS:
- Obtain a thorough understanding of the work to be performed and the purpose of the work. If you don’t know or understand, you are responsible to ask.
- Work in a prompt, efficient, thorough, and accurate manner to the completion of the task(s) and assignment(s)
- ALWAYS work in a safe and compliant manner and in accordance with all safety policies and procedures, including job/duty-specific job safety analysis (JSA).
- Provide current and accurate information regarding work progress, difficulties, or obstacles to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Manage time efficiently and demonstrate the ability to prioritize assignments; report to your supervisor when it becomes apparent that an assignment will be delayed beyond expected completion.
- Demonstrate improving and/or highly competent technical and physical skills, for example: product and service knowledge, equipment operations, physically able to perform the work required, etc.

JOB SPECIFIC ELEMENTS:
- Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of physical principles, laws, their interrelationships, and applications to fluid, material, atmospheric dynamics, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Able to read schematic drawings, plans, and blueprints to determine proper work procedures and sequence.
- Able to operate all necessary tools, equipment, cranes, hoists, etc., necessary for the completion of projects and repairs, and maintain them.
- Must have the skills, desire, and willingness to lead others on the floor during the assembly process.
- Daily, hourly, or by project work assignments and re-assignment
- Issuing work directives and corrective actions
- Utilize disciplinary actions and reports when necessary
- Must have excellent communication skills and understand the importance of communicating workflow, next steps, deadlines, etc., in a clear, positive, and motivating manner.
- Requires the ability to maintain composure, keep emotions in check, and deal with difficult and time-sensitive problems while functioning as a “team player” to keep operations at a highly proficient level.
- Requires: positive attitude, excellent attendance, ability to lift 80lbs., desire to foster a fast-paced but safe and productive culture.
ALTERNATE DUTIES:
- Ability to perform other shop-related tasks as delegated by the Production Supervisor.
- Assist with keeping the shop and grounds clean and organized.
